Demonstration Energy-saving Reconstruction Project Passes Inspection

On November 26, the inspection team organized by the Department of Building Energy Conservation and Science and Technology of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development and the Department of Development Planning of the Ministry of Education inspected the demonstration project of energy-saving reconstruction of HZAU. Vice president Guo Gangqi and Zhang Yingchun, director of Logistics Management Office, attended the inspection meeting.
Guo introduced to the inspection team the situation of the university and the energy-saving reconstruction in recent years. Shi Guobing, deputy director of Logistics Management Office, gave a report on concept, situation, benefit analysis and long-term plan of energy-saving campus construction. Having checked construction files and tested energy-saving supervision platform and operation of street lamps online, the team agreed to pass the inspection after investigating equipment in the central pump house and the Youth Talent Building. Meanwhile, the team proposed that our school should explore the management mode of green campus in line with the university’s development through adhering to the main line, increasing investment and developing energy-saving supervision platform, and supporting system and talent team.
It is reported that Logistics Management Office has reformed 626 high-pressure sodium lamps(250W)and 800 courtyard lamps(25W) through the project. As a result, the annual power consumption has decreased from 708,600 KWH to 173,200 KWH with the energy-saving rate 75.6%. The power of 14 motors in the central pump house and the pump house of Xiyuan Residential quarter decreased from 471 KWH to 325 KWH, with energy consumption reduced by 25% and the energy-saving rate of 31%. 528 intelligent remote water meters and 708 intelligent remote electricity meters were installed in No.64-71 buildings of Youth Talent Building and No. 5-6 buildings of Beiyuan, and 29 monitoring points of water and electricity in 16 buildings in the areas of teaching, scientific research, public and dormitories, which helped realize the function of online payment. Energy-saving supervision platform collected dynamic consumption of electricity and water per hour in every building online, which provides the data for energy-saving management. The renovated area covered more than 150,000 sq. m, with the comprehensive energy-saving rate of over 20%.
