Delegation from Wuhan Academy of Agricultural Sciences Seeking for Cooperation with HZAU

On the morning of November 9, President Wu Dazhi and seven delegation members from Wuhan Academy of Agricultural Sciences visited HZAU for cooperation talks. President Deng Xiuxin and Vice President Yao Jianglin of HZAU warmly welcomed the delegates. The heads from the following colleges and units attended the meeting: Institute of Science and Technology Development, Graduate School, College of Economics & Management, College of Horticulture & Forestry Sciences and College of Plant Science & Technology.
At the meeting, President Wu and the heads from relevant departments of Wuhan Academy of Agricultural Sciences introduced the recent developments and research foci of the Academy. They hoped that the two parties would have in-depth cooperation in the fields of joint-development of online courses, joint-supervision of postgraduates, establishment of key laboratory of urban agriculture, research on agricultural economy and policy, research on rural revitalization strategy, and high-level talents introduction and training.
Vice President Yao, on behalf of HZAU, extended a warm welcome to the delegates from Wuhan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and responded positively to their needs for cooperation. He said that HZAU attaches great importance to cooperating with local governments, research institutes and enterprises and will try its best to meet the Academy’s cooperation demands in view of profound friendship and effective cooperation between the two sides over the past years. He pointed out that the Academy has its own research strengths while HZAU has its distinctive specialties and a further cooperation is a win-win choice for both sides. He hoped that the two sides would bring their advantages into full play, and build an innovative system combining industries, universities and research sectors, and promote comprehensive cooperation in scientific research, academic exchanges, postgraduate enrollment, talents training, graduate employment and targeted poverty alleviation so as to make more contributions to the implementation of national rural revitalization strategy.
