From November 26th to 28th, China Association of College Newspaper 2017 annual meeting and the second China University Media Development High-end forum was held in Chengdu. The editorial board of our school newspaper attended the meeting. The results of top news of National college newspaper in 2016 were published in the meeting, Five works of our school newspaper won awards, including 1 first prize and 4 second prizes.
Tian Jingcheng, director of the publishing division of the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, conveyed the notice on studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. Keynote reports were respectively given by Li Bin, editor-in-chief &deputy director of Beijing Branch of Xinhua News Agency, Li Peng, deputy editor-in-chief of Sichuan Daily, director of West China City Daily, president & CEO of Cover Media and Kuang Linhua, senior press photographer & photo editor of China Daily. Attendees exchanged an experience of running the newspaper and some of the delegates went to Sichuan Daily Newspaper Group to survey the smart media technology.
A total of 3,004 works submitted by 644 colleges and universities from 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China were candidates for Top News of National College Newspaper in 2016, the number of participating schools and works all hitting a new record high. Liu Tao's work “Harvesting Regeneration Rice Harvest Quarter per mu over 400 kilograms, High-yield and High-efficiency integrated technology model as the national sample” won the first prize of informative news, “Professor Han Heyou put the tumor to wear ‘corset’” won the second prize of newsletters, “Approachable ‘Major Secretary’” won the second prize of photojournalism, “Special edition of the end of 2016” won the second prize of page news, Xiapei’s work “Shaking off poverty still relies on diligence” won the second prize of comment news.
China Association of College Newspaper, a national first-class association, is a national academic group that National college newspaper workers participate in. The selection of “Good news of National college newspaper” is hosted by the association annually, and the “good news of National college newspaper” is the highest award in the field of college newspaper news.
