On the morning of September 21, David Llewellyn, Vice President of HAU, met with Prof. Zhang and discussed over strengthening further cooperation in talent cultivation, teacher training, and academic visits of postgraduates. Later, Peter Mills, Vice President of HAU, invited Prof. Zhang and his delegation to visit the University’s food sensory evaluation lab and microbiology lab, and then introduced its successful practice in industry-university-research cooperation.

Prof. Zhang attended the graduation ceremony on the morning of September 22. On the ceremony he congratulated the students who received their degree in the joint program and delivered a speech. After the ceremony, Prof. Zhang met with the graduates and their parents shortly after the ceremony and encouraged the students to further their education to better serve the motherland in the future. In the afternoon, Prof. Zhang attended the first-class scholarship ceremony and presented the award to Xu Jiaran, a student from HZAU who won the scholarship.

It is reported that the joint education program started in 2013. The first 13 exchange students who studied at HAU graduated this year and 9 of them will study for a master’s degree at prestigious universities in the UK.
