CHFS Reached Preliminary Agreement on Talent Cultivation Cooperation with Kyoto University

From February 21 to 22, the delegation led by Zhang Hongrong, Party Secretary of the College of Horticulture & Forestry Science (CHFS) of HZAU, and Professor Luo Zhengrong, from the Department of Pomology of HZAU, visited the Faculty and Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University (FGSA, KU) for academic exchanges and cooperation. After the discussion, they reached a preliminary agreement on talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation.

Zhang Hongrong and his delegation were received by Professor Hisashi Miyagawa, Dean of the FGSA, KU and Professor Ryutaro Tao, from the Laboratory of Pomology on February 21. Many issues were discussed including the joint cultivation of undergraduates and graduate students, scientific research cooperation between teachers, and regular academic exchanges and joint teaching. A formal agreement was expected to be signed at HZAU in early May, 2017.

On February 22, Zhang and his delegation, accompanied by Professor Ryutaro Tao, visited the Kizu Farm affiliated to the FGSA, KU and were received by Professor Akira Kitajima, from the Laboratory of Plan Production Control. They exchanged views on undergraduates and graduate students practical teaching and resource sharing, and other relevant issues.

The CHFS will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the FGSA, KU and look forward to making more substantive achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation, and educational resources sharing.
