At noon on Dec. 1, 2021 HZAU New Year Carnival bid-winning projects agreement signing meeting was held in lecture hall of Teaching Building NO3. Representatives of 346 winning projects signed agreements on behalf of their teams.
According to the agreement, the Organizing Committee of HZAU New Year Carnival will provide the winning project teams with booths, power supply, basic lighting and necessary assistance for the implementation of projects. Booth fees, management fees, service fees, and utility fees will be waived. The project team will be required to comply with regulations on electricity, fire, food safety, etc. during the use of the units provided by the Organizing Committee to ensure a safe and orderly site. In addition, the agreement also stipulates other related matters.
Since the announcement of the tender for 2021 HZAU New Year Carnival, all teachers and students have been actively planning and biding for projects. As of 24:00 on November 20, the Organizing Committee had received 713 bidding documents. Compared with last year, this year’s bidding projects are not only twice more in number, but also pay more attention to creative planning, quality and participation of teachers and students. Among the 713 projects declared, many of them are led by professional teachers as leaders, some are based on the cooperation among undergraduates, postgraduates, international students and teachers, others are teams from different classes, dormitories, laboratories, clubs, research groups, etc. Those projects are marked by diversity and coordination, showing higher involvement of both postgraduates and teachers. Judging from the bidding documents, this year’s application projects are focused more on creative planning, clear and standardized expression, and detailed budget.
On Nov. 25, the Procurement and Bidding Center of HZAU organized experts to conduct evaluation of 713 bidding projects. The evaluation work is carried out in strict accordance with the bidding process and specifications. On November 27, the organizing committee conducted the second round of evaluation on the culture, economy and feasibility of projects. After having in-depth communication with 713 project application leaders respectively, the Organizing Committee finally approved 346 projects, which were publicized on Nov. 30.
The person in charge of the Organizing Committee said that organizing the signing ceremony is to enhance the legal consciousness and contract spirit of teachers and students, and to reflect the educating function of this festival.
